Make a Spay/Neuter Appointment

Please Read Before Submitting Appointment Request

Due to the high-volume of requests at this time, we are only scheduling cats belonging to Vermont residents. We cannot accept cats from breeders or cats purchased from breeders.

We rely on our fees and private donations to keep our clinic open. We do not receive any funding from the state or federal government. When people don't come to their appointments, it greatly affects our ability to serve our clients. Therefore, we require 48-hour advance notice if you need to cancel an appointment.

Before scheduling an appointment, please visit our fees page.

We take credit cards for deposits online, but cannot take them for the balance at this time. Please pay the balance in cash (no checks) at check-in. The balance is the total fee minus your deposit.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, we really need 48 hours notice.  Please leave a message at 802-223-0034 or email us here

Appointments for Dogs

  • We are scheduling a limited number dogs at this time (younger dogs under 4 years old, female dogs under 75 pounds, and male dogs under 40 pounds).
  • For females who have had a heat, please wait at least 4 weeks after females stop bleeding to schedule (increased blood in the uterus makes surgery riskier).
  • Our first priority is to schedule dogs belonging to people who cannot afford to go to a full-service veterinarian.
  • We do not alter brachycephalic dogs or dogs with known anesthetic sensitivities (pugs, bulldogs, Boston terriers, shar peis, etc.).
  • The fee for male dogs under 40 pounds is $250 and $300 for female dogs under 50 pounds and $350 for female dogs over 50 pounds, in heat, or overweight.
  • A $100, non-refundable deposit (without at 48 hour advance notice of your need to cancel) is required.

Please do not request an appointment if you do not meet the above criteria (except if you have an emergency such as a female with an infected uterus, or face losing your housing).
